Job summary

Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar is seeking a General Manager to oversee operations, financial performance, and people at a location under the direction of the Area Director. The GM will lead Managers and hourly TEAM Members, drive guest satisfaction, cost controls, and staff development in alignment with TSFR values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Hospitality or Hotel/Restaurant Management or related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7+ years of multi-unit restaurant management with P&L accountability; national chain experience preferred.
• Completion of Apple II Management training.
• Experience as Assistant General Manager or prior Unit General Manager in a similar organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversees operational and financial performance and human capital at the location.
• Leads restaurant environment, ensuring prompt, friendly service and guest satisfaction.
• Manages recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of Managers and TEAM Members.
• Executes safety, sanitation, and cost controls; maintains budgets and inventory levels.
• Develops managers, conducts regular reviews, and provides candor feedback.
• Plans staffing, schedules, and management meetings; ensures policy compliance.
• Drives community involvement and promotions to increase sales.
