Job summary

Sonic Drive-In in Alabama seeks a General Manager/Operating Partner to lead daily drive-in operations and drive guest satisfaction. You will supervise staff, manage budgets, plan labor and inventory, and ensure compliance with company standards and local laws.

This exempt position requires strong leadership, marketing initiative, and a proven track record in restaurant management, with a minimum 50-hour work week and flexibility for nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred).
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and managing employees.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule, assign, discipline, and terminate staff.
• Manage compensation levels pursuant to company guidelines.
• Supervise and manage all drive-in operations to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Handle opening and closing duties.
• Manage food, labor, paper, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
