Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a General Manager in Redding, CA to oversee all restaurant operations, drive guest satisfaction, and lead the team to meet sales targets. You will manage staffing, training, scheduling, and adherence to EPL policies while upholding QSC standards and food safety compliance.

You will analyze daily operations, control costs, and collaborate with Area Leaders on performance and safety in a fast-paced environment that focuses on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with high school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years restaurant management experience, preferably in a QSR environment.
• Must possess Serve Safe Certification.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and training abilities.

Responsibilities

• Strategically manages and coaches team performance to drive efficient restaurant operations.
• Oversees opening/closing procedures, setup, food prep, and cleaning per EPL policies.
• optimizes labor planning and scheduling to align with sales and labor targets.
• Provides hands-on coverage and ensures coverage of all workstations as needed.
• Monitors and adjusts food production to meet business needs and cost standards.
• Maintains guest service speed and educates team on operational metrics and standards.
• Enforces EPL policies, health department rules, and safety procedures.
• Oversees hiring, training, and performance reviews to ensure staffing goals.
• Manages cash handling, audits and financial reports; analyzes P&L statements.
• Supports catering programs and local marketing efforts; verifies deliveries and orders.
• Conducts weekly inventory and coordinates with approved vendors.
• Ensures compliance with timekeeping policies and reports any incidents promptly.
