Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking a General Manager to lead daily drive-in operations, supervise staff, and drive guest satisfaction at the Mount Pleasant, AL location. You will recruit, train, and coach team members, manage labor and inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of restaurant leadership, strong communication, and ability to handle high-volume service with focus on cost control and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies in business, restaurant management, or related fields preferred.
• Experience: At least three years of restaurant management experience (QSR preferred) and experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge/Skills: familiarity with labor and employment laws, health and safety regulations; basic computer, math, accounting, and reading skills; strong verbal and written communication; leadership and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, hire, onboard, train, manage, direct, coach, lead, schedule and discipline staff.
• Manage compensation levels per guidelines and oversee guest-facing operations for optimal service.
• Supervise drive-in operations, including opening/closing duties and sanitation.
• Plan and forecast food, labor, and inventory to maximize cost-control and efficiency.
• Lead team meetings and maintain records and operational reports.
• Develop and manage local marketing and business performance plans.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and safety standards.
