Job summary

The Maintenance Person at McDonald’s Restaurants Limited is responsible for keeping the restaurant clean, safe, and fully functional. This role supports daily operations by ensuring the building, grounds, and equipment meet McDonald’s standards for quality, service, and cleanliness.

You will perform routine facility maintenance, basic equipment care, and safety compliance, contributing to a positive guest experience and a secure work environment for team members.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical and maintenance skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot minor repairs.
• Strong attention to detail and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Must be able to lift, bend, stand for extended periods, and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Facility Maintenance: Maintain interior and exterior areas, restrooms, kitchen, storage, parking lot, sidewalks, and landscaping; ensure cleanliness and upkeep.
• Equipment Care and Preventative Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance on kitchen equipment; report issues and coordinate repairs.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, proper chemical handling, lockout procedures, and health regulations.
• Grounds and Exterior Upkeep: Keep parking lot clean; manage snow/ice and check lighting/signage.
• Support to Operations: Assist management with special projects and ensure equipment is ready for peak periods.
