Job Summary

The Restaurant Cook oversees daily operations of the grill and food prep, ensuring proper food handling, preparation, and storage. The role requires delivering excellent customer service and being a strong team player for our franchise partner.

Responsibilities

1. Report to work on time, dressed in a clean, complete uniform.
2. Greet customers warmly with a smile and a verbal greeting such as “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
3. Prepare food promptly upon receiving orders.
4. Complete the shift checklist, including stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
5. Immediately report safety concerns or customer complaints to the manager.
6. Know the menu and daily features, ensuring they are cooked and presented correctly.
7. Follow the Huddle House steps of service to maximize shift sales.
8. Adhere to safety, food handling, cash security, and other restaurant policies.
9. Perform prepping and cleaning duties as assigned.
10. Control food costs by managing waste and portions.

Qualifications

1. Effective communication with restaurant staff.
2. Previous restaurant experience preferred.
3. A “Can do” attitude and willingness to work during scheduled shifts.
