Job Summary

The Restaurant Cook oversees the daily operation of the grill and food prep in the restaurant. Responsibilities include proper food preparation, handling, and storage. The role requires providing excellent customer service and being a strong team player to our franchise partner.

Responsibilities

1. Report to work on time in a clean, complete proper uniform.
2. Greet all customers with a smile and a verbal greeting: “Good Morning” or “Welcome to Huddle House.”
3. Prepare food promptly once an order is received.
4. Complete the position checklist, including stocking and preparing the unit for the next shift.
5. Report concerns immediately to the manager, especially safety issues and customer complaints.
6. Know the menu and daily features, ensuring they are cooked and presented correctly.
7. Follow the Huddle House steps of service with each guest to maximize shift sales.
8. Adhere to all safety, food handling, cash security, and restaurant policies.
9. Perform all prep and cleaning duties as assigned.
10. Control food costs by managing waste and portion sizes.
