Job summary

Dairy Queen in the United States is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to run a high-volume store with attention to detail, supporting the General Manager in operations, production, inventory, personnel, sales, and local marketing.

As a key leader, you will supervise shifts, train crew, manage scheduling, and ensure food safety and quality while building a positive team environment and delivering an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–3 years of high-volume restaurant leadership experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proven track record of effectively managing COGS and labor.
• Strong knowledge and application of safe food handling practices.
• Customer focus with strong hospitality and service skills.
• Trainer and coach with ability to mentor others on restaurant routines and systems.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to motivate a team and maintain a positive store environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage entire operation of restaurant during scheduled shifts, ensuring quality, service, and atmosphere.
• Train shift leads and crew on systems, recipes, food safety, and safety practices.
• Assist GM with executing the restaurant's business plan and optimizing P&L impact.
• Support fan service standards and resolve customer concerns to foster loyalty and speed of service.
• Develop staffing plans and ensure hourly schedules meet daily and seasonal demand.
• Contribute to local store marketing activities and promotions to attract customers.
• Maintain health and safety standards, sanitation procedures, and secure facility.
