Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill in New Jersey seeks a Shift Leader to oversee FOH & BOH functions, ensuring smooth shifts and exceptional guest service. You’ll work with management on food and labor costs, meet sales targets, and uphold health & safety standards.

The role requires leadership, a focus on guest satisfaction, and the ability to train and develop team members while maintaining operations and compliance.

Qualifications

• 1 year of related food service management experience, or 2 years in other food service.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and ensure a friendly, efficient service.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and training FOH staff.
• Train staff to meet customer service standards and safety rules.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations and checklists.
• Monitor food quality, inventory, and cleanliness.
• Support management in controlling costs and labor.
