Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in the United States is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, ensuring quality food, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.

You will hire and train staff, coach for performance, manage shifts, and drive sales while maintaining safety and compliance. This role requires flexible hours, strong leadership, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multitask effectively.
• Strong math, reading and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations to ensure quality food, cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
• Hire, train, supervise, manage, direct and develop team members for a Great SONIC experience.
• Lead the team, coach for performance, and provide feedback to improve results.
• Set expectations, maintain a positive atmosphere and manage shift activities.
• Oversee costs for food, paper, labor and guest service while ensuring safety and sanitation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local laws and SONIC standards.
