Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Charlottesville to translate our mission and values into daily restaurant leadership. You will partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to develop store action plans, manage labor, scheduling, forecasting, and inventory, and mentor hourly Team Members in a high-volume setting.

As AGM, you will master competency-based leadership, oversee operations, drive guest satisfaction, and contribute to financial performance while ensuring food safety

Qualifications

• Experience in supervisory/management roles within restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, ordering, and cost controls to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing, addressing team issues, and maintaining a positive work environment.
• Support financial tracking, reporting, and adherence to budget guidelines.
