Job summary

Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support daily Taco Bell restaurant operations in California. You will lead shifts, coach staff, ensure safety compliance, and assist in achieving financial goals while maintaining brand standards and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The AGM will work closely with the GM and area leadership to develop teams, recruit and onboard staff, and drive 5-star customer service across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• At least 2 years of restaurant experience with proven leadership on all shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, speak, and write in English.
• Must pass the ServSafe Certification Course and Exam and maintain a current health card per local/state requirements.
• Reliable transportation, clear criminal background check, and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Average 45-hour work week with flexible availability (nights, weekends, holidays).

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and ensure timely completion of tasks with quality assurance.
• Coach, motivate, and develop team members and shift managers.
• Prioritize health and safety in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Train and develop aspiring leaders and create development plans.
• Collaborate with the GM to identify staffing needs and onboard new hires.
• Support the GM in achieving financial goals for the restaurant.
• Provide 5-star service and ensure customer satisfaction as a top priority.
• Assist the GM in managing restaurant operations.
