Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations and uphold our Mediterranean-inspired standards. You will work with the General Manager to implement action plans, manage labor, inventory, and service quality, and develop hourly Team Members through coaching and feedback.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to drive guest satisfaction while maintaining profitability.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and improve restaurant performance.
• Willing to work flexible hours including nights and weekends; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA’s standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support team members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Assist with addressing team member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Lead initiatives to boost customer satisfaction and loyalty.
• Support financial tracking, budgets, and reporting; ensure proper cash handling.
