Job summary

Vibra Healthcare is seeking a Respiratory Practitioner to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients. You will operate ventilators, administer prescribed therapies, and document patient education and responses in the chart.

Responsibilities include trach care, equipment maintenance, and coordination with physicians and nurses. A state license, BLS on hire, and ACLS within 90 days are required, with ongoing licensure maintenance.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice as a Respiratory Practitioner in the state of employment.
• BLS certification at hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Maintain active licenses and certifications throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for adults and geriatrics (18+).
• Explain purpose and procedure of treatments and document education.
• Conduct physician-prescribed treatments: nebulizers, oxygen, humidity, and gases.
• Set up, operate, and monitor ventilators; participate in weaning as directed.
• Maintain ventilation during CPR; intubate as necessary.
• Record treatments and patient responses; document on MARs.
• Perform tracheostomy care and tube changes per policy.
• Report changes and updates to relief personnel and primary nurse.
• Process respiratory equipment, ensure sterilization, and verify CIDEX OPA status.
• Attend monthly department meetings and perform routine checks on equipment.
