Job summary

Vibra Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a PRN position at a Long Term Acute Care facility. You will operate respiratory equipment, perform treatments, and document patient responses to care.

Responsibilities include ventilator management, patient education, and adherence to hospital policy. Must obtain BLS on hire and ACLS within 90 days; licensure must be maintained throughout employment.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice by the state as a Respiratory Practitioner.
• Must have BLS upon hire and ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• Must maintain licenses and certification for duration of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides care for adults and geriatrics (18+).
• Explain treatments and educate patients, documenting education in charts.
• Conduct physician prescribed treatments (nebulizers, nasal oxygen devices).
• Set up, operate and monitor ventilators; participate in weaning per physician direction.
• Maintain ventilation during CPR and perform intubation as needed.
• Record treatments and patient responses in charts and MARs.
• Perform trach care and document changes per policy.
• Process respiratory equipment and validate scope sterilization recently.
• Perform preventive maintenance and pre-use checks on ventilators; document in cleaning log.
• Make rounds, check ventilators every 4 hours and oxygen equipment daily.
