Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Dillon, MT is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide skilled respiratory care for residents in a long-term care setting. You will interpret orders, deliver prescribed therapies, assess responses, and educate staff and families.

Responsibilities include ventilator support, oxygen therapy, airway management, and coordination with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be CRT or RRT licensed in the practicing state.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Ventilator unit experience required; LTC or skilled nursing experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, staff, physicians, and agencies.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Promotes healing of acutely ill residents through respiratory care and education.
• Provides safe administration of respiratory therapies including ventilation and oxygen monitoring.
• Manages setup and use of medical gases, ventilatory support and airway management.
• Oversees rehab department management including case management and quality improvement.
• Coordinates with nursing leadership to integrate respiratory care into daily practice.
