Job summary

Sweetwater Care in Dillon, MT, is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to independently perform respiratory care procedures, interpret physician orders, assess resident needs, deliver prescribed therapy, and educate clinical staff. You will act as a consultant and clinician, supporting the rehab department and coordinating with nursing leadership.

The ideal candidate holds CRT/RRT, with BLS; ACLS is preferred, and ventilator care experience in LTC or skilled nursing is valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold CRT or RRT certification in the practicing state.
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Finger Print Clearance required.
• TB test within last year and a recent physical.
• COVID card or vaccination as required.
• Ventilator unit experience; LTC or skilled nursing preferred.
• Strong communication with residents, families and staff.
• Knowledge of state guidelines and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy including ventilation and oxygen monitoring.
• Setup and monitor delivery of medical gases, humidification, and airway management.
• Coordinate with nursing leadership to integrate care into daily practice.
• Develop discharge plans and follow-up on equipment.
• Maintain equipment records and preventive maintenance.
• Assess and educate residents and families on respiratory care.
• Document care plans and changes in resident condition.
• All other duties as assigned.
