Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our growing team in Michigan. You will set up home medical equipment such as CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators, and educate patients on proper usage per physician orders.

The role requires inspecting devices, maintaining accurate patient records, and staying current with pulmonary care techniques. Some after-hours and weekend on-call work is required based on center needs.

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient function.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to tailor treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and related concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed, with center-size dependent frequency.
