Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join a growing team. The role focuses on setting up home medical equipment such as ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and oxygen concentrators, while educating patients on proper usage.

You will inspect equipment, review prescriptions, maintain orderly patient records, and stay current with respiratory homecare techniques. Travel to patient sites and after-hours on-call are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice or as otherwise permitted by law.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate patients on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner adhering to accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed (frequency based on center size and staffing).
