Job summary

Lincare Holdings is seeking a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join our homecare team in Portage, Michigan. You will set up and educate patients on CPAP/BiPAP, ventilators, nebulizers, and oxygen equipment, ensuring proper usage and safety at the patient’s home.

Responsibilities include equipment inspection, documenting patient information, maintaining records in accordance with accreditation standards, and staying current with respiratory care techniques.

Qualifications

• CRTs and RRTs qualify for this position, subject to state law/regulation.
• RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs and other clinicians may also qualify for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients; mileage reimbursement provided.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance in state of residence.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment (CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, ventilators).
• Inspect, test, and adjust equipment to ensure safe operation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records in a complete and organized manner per accreditation standards.
• Maintain current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
