Job summary

Lincare Holdings in Virginia seeks a Respiratory Therapist / Nurse to join its growing team. You will set up home medical equipment including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP units, and oxygen concentrators, and educate patients on proper usage of prescribed devices.

You will visit patients across the territory, inspect equipment, maintain records, and stay current with respiratory care concepts. On-call after hours and weekends may be required, with comprehensive benefits and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• In all states CRTs and RRTs are qualified for this position.
• Must remain certified, registered, or licensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinical practice.
• Must have reliable personal vehicle to visit patients throughout assigned territory (Mileage reimbursement is provided).
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and auto insurance in state of residence, per company policy.
• In-depth knowledge of pulmonary function and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and educate on home medical equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators, and ventilators.
• Inspect and adjust equipment to ensure safe functioning.
• Review prescription and patient information to determine suitable treatment per physician orders.
• Maintain patient records per accreditation standards.
• Maintain knowledge of respiratory homecare concepts.
• Work on-call after hours and weekends as needed.
