Job summary

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in respiratory care, Maryland/DC licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and current CPR/ACLS; bachelor’s degree and NBRC RRT are preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required;Bachelor's degree preferred.
• MD/DC licensure as Respiratory Care Practitioner required; CRT is required.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications to be completed within 1 year where required.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care to all patient populations per physician orders and standards.
• Assess patient needs and document educational requirements and progress.
• Perform respiratory therapies, monitor equipment, and manage ventilators.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team.
• Review EMR and orders; participate in CPR and resuscitation as needed.
• Support department goals, maintain safety, and adhere to regulations.
