MedStar Health is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care to diverse patient populations under physician orders. You will operate ventilators, monitor therapy, and document clinical needs in the EMR while collaborating with the care team.

Requirements include an Associate degree in respiratory care (AAS) or higher, Maryland/DC license (RCP, CRT required; RRT preferred), CPR and ACLS within specified timeframes, and 0–1 year acute care experience with registry eligibility.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in respiratory care required; AAS or higher.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in related healthcare field.
• Less than 1 year acute care experience; registry eligible.
• RCP license must be current; CRT required; RRT preferred.
• CPR and ACLS certifications within the required time frame.

Responsabilités

• Provide respiratory care to all patient populations per physician orders.
• Assess patient needs and document educational requirements and psychosocial factors.
• Operate and monitor respiratory equipment including ventilators and spirometry.
• Review EMR and physician orders; participate in CPR and resuscitation as needed.
