Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will train staff, troubleshoot respiratory equipment, and support patients with PAP therapy, while maintaining regulatory compliance and documenting activities.

You will handle equipment maintenance, coordinate with care teams, and support billing and reimbursement documentation, ensuring patient confidentiality and safety in all settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Related experience in construction, general labor, military, or equipment maintenance is considered related experience.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment that routinely bills insurance is preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks, communicating instructions clearly.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs to clinical support.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents per policy.
• Maintain knowledge of Respiratory Programs and HME products/services.
• Complete all required paperwork including delivery tickets and compliance forms.
• Develop reimbursement knowledge for billing purposes.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.
• Adhere to PPE, infection control, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
• Assist in quality improvement programs and referral outreach.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
