Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to provide comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. The role includes training peers, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

The position emphasizes collaboration with respiratory staff, delivery of quality service, and ongoing maintenance of PAP equipment in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environments is preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting for respiratory patients.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with equipment and masks; communicate instructions professionally.
• Conduct follow-up calls and visits to ensure optimal care outcomes; contact clinical support for urgent needs.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines; troubleshoot equipment failures.
