Job summary

AdaptHealth is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive patient care across home, office, and hospital environments. You will serve as a subject matter expert, conducting new hire training and mentoring team members while ensuring equipment is set up and functioning correctly.

Responsibilities include instructing staff and patients on PAP equipment, following up with patients to optimize outcomes, and ensuring documentation and compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in Medicare certified HME environment preferred.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME services preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted driver’s license from state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department staff and program managers to provide equipment instruction, service, and troubleshooting.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks; communicate instructions professionally.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes and escalate urgent needs.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and repairs per policy and manufacturer guidelines.
• Report equipment hazards and incidents per company policies.
