Job summary

AdaptHealth, LLC is seeking a Respiratory Support Technician to deliver comprehensive care across home, office, and hospital settings. You will train staff, set up PAP equipment, and ensure safe, effective therapy while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high service standards.

The role requires equipment knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, including field travel within the service area.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience in construction, manual labor, military, or equipment repair is considered.
• Experience in Medicare-certified HME environment with insurance billing is a plus.
• Knowledge of respiratory therapy or DME is preferred.
• A valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Respiratory Department Staff and Program Managers for equipment instruction and service.
• Set up and fit PAP patients with appropriate equipment and masks.
• Conduct patient follow-up calls/visits to ensure optimal care outcomes.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and simple repairs per policy.
• Report equipment hazards per company policies.
• Maintain knowledge of Respiratory Programs and HME products.
• Complete paperwork for delivery tickets, safety checklists, ABNs/AMAs, and cleaning forms.
• Develop basic reimbursement knowledge for billing purposes.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and data security while documenting accurately.
• Adhere to PPE/infection control protocols and complete compliance training.
• Promote services to community referral sources; assist with quality improvement programs.
