Responsibilities

• Performs direct respiratory care per physician orders and approved protocols.
• Consults on therapy effectiveness and recommends adjustments.
• Maintains ventilators and other life-support equipment.
• Evaluates therapies and communicates plans of care.
• Documents therapy and results in EMR; communicates with healthcare team.
• Responds to emergencies with respiratory care techniques and blood gas analysis.
