Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, North Carolina seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist for a full-time role in Respiratory Therapy Services. The position offers 36 hours per week with daytime shifts and a sign-on bonus eligibility.

Qualifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required and licensed in the state of work.
• Graduate of an approved school of Respiratory Therapy; Associate degree required; BS/BA preferred.
• 2 years critical care experience for ED; new grads with RRT credentials eligible.

Responsibilities

• Operate oxygen delivery equipment to achieve adequate oxygenation.
• Administer and evaluate respiratory procedures; perform diagnostic tests as policy dictates.
• Initiate, monitor and maintain mechanical and non-invasive ventilators.
• Assess and adjust therapy plans with patient education in mind.
• Document therapy results and communicate with the care team.
• Respond to emergencies and perform blood gas analyses.
• Work independently in patient care areas; proficient in EMR.
• Adhere to safety and regulatory requirements.
