Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Supervisor to oversee the respiratory staff and ensure safe, high-quality care in alignment with hospital policies and Mercy standards. The role supports planning, implementing, and evaluating operations, technology, and clinical interventions while working closely with the healthcare team.

The successful candidate will have a Respiratory Care Practitioner license and NBRC credentials (RRT preferred) with 5+ years of experience, strong interpersonal skills,

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
• Five or more years of experience as a respiratory care professional.
• RRT certification by NBRC; BLS (may obtain on hire). May substitute RRT with 10 years leadership and CRT NBRC.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills; ability to implement medical plan of care.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Respiratory staff to ensure safe, quality care.
• Assists in planning, implementing, and evaluating operations, technique and technology.
• Delivers respiratory care via direct patient care and monitoring patient conditions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team with open communication.
• Serves as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients, and visitors.
