Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Supervisor to lead and develop the respiratory services team in a hospital setting. The role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality patient care while adhering to hospital policies, protocols, and Mercy Service Standards.

The position requires extensive experience in respiratory care, state licensure, NBRC credentials, and strong leadership and interpersonal skills to guide staff and coordinate patient plans of care with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
• Five or more years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
• RRT registration by NBRC; BLS may be obtained upon hire; RRT can be substituted with 10 years leadership experience and CRT NBRC certification.
• Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities; ability to think critically and adapt to changes; capable of implementing medical plans of care.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Respiratory staff to ensure safe, high-quality care in line with policies and guidelines.
• Assists in planning, implementing and evaluating operations, techniques and technology for respiratory care.
• Provides direct patient care, monitors患者 conditions, and collaborates with the healthcare team.
• Serves as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients and visitors.
• Upholds Mercy Service Standards and mission in all duties.
