Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care leader to supervise the respiratory staff, ensuring safe and high-quality care in line with hospital policies and Mercy Service Standards. The role focuses on staff development, planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited respiratory care program, a state RCP license, and NBRC credentials (RRT) with leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
• Five or more years of experience in respiratory care.
• Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the NBRC; BLS (may obtain upon hire).
• May substitute RRT with 10 years of leadership experience and Certified as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Respiratory staff to ensure safe, quality respiratory care.
• Assists in planning, implementation and evaluation of operations, technique and technology.
• Provides direct patient care and monitors patient conditions.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team and communicates openly.
• Upholds Mercy mission, values, and service standards.
