Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Supervisor to lead our respiratory staff in delivering safe, high-quality care in a collaborative hospital setting. You will supervise daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to policies, protocols, and guidelines while working with the healthcare team.

The role requires a licensed RCP with 5+ years of experience and NBRC credentials (RRT preferred; CRT acceptable).

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited respiratory care program.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the state of practice.
• Five or more years of experience in respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with NBRC; BLS may be obtained on hire.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS or NBRC certifications are preferred but may be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the respiratory staff to ensure safe, high-quality care per policies and guidelines.
• Assist in planning, implementation, and evaluation of operations and technology for respiratory care.
• Provide direct respiratory care, monitor patient conditions, and communicate with the healthcare team.
• Serve as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients, and visitors; uphold Mercy standards.
