Job summary

Mercy seeks a seasoned Respiratory Care Supervisor to lead our Respiratory staff, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The role centers on developing the team, aligning operations with Mercy Service Standards, and collaborating with the healthcare team to optimize care delivery and outcomes.

Minimum qualifications include licensure as an RCP, an accredited respiratory care program, at least five years of experience, NBRC credentials, and strong interpersonal

Qualifications

• Education: Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Licensure: Current RCP license in state of practice.
• Experience: Five or more years of experience.
• Certification/Registration: NBRC-Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); BLS may be obtained on hire; RRT may be substituted with 10 years of leadership and CRT NBRC certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervises Respiratory staff to ensure safe, quality care and adherence to policies.
• Develops staff and fosters adherence to hospital policy.
• Plans, implements and evaluates operations, techniques and technology for respiratory care.
• Provides direct patient respiratory care and monitors patient conditions; collaborates with healthcare team.
• Acts as a clinical resource for coworkers, patients, and visitors.
