Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Supervisor to lead the respiratory staff in delivering safe, high‑quality care in alignment with hospital policies and Mercy Service Standards.

The role requires a degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program, current RCP license in the state, 5+ years of experience, and NBRC credentials (RRT preferred; CRT with 10 years leadership acceptable). Leadership and clinical excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an Accredited College Program in Respiratory Care.
• Current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) in the practicing state.
• Five or more years of experience in respiratory care.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC; BLS (may obtain upon hire).
• May substitute RRT with 10 years leadership experience and Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by NBRC.
• Strong interpersonal skills and conflict resolution abilities.
• Critical thinking, flexibility, and adaptability in patient care.
• Ability to implement medical plan of care and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervises respiratory staff to ensure safe, high‑quality care.
• Plans, implements, and evaluates operations, techniques, and technology for respiratory care.
• Provides direct patient care and collaborates with the healthcare team.
