Job summary

FutureCare in Baltimore is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our nursing team. You will provide respiratory care per physician orders, manage ventilators, perform chest physiotherapy, administer gases and medications, and document responses to therapy.

We offer a competitive salary of $40.00-$45.00 per hour plus shift differential, excellent benefits, tuition reimbursement, PTO, and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Current licensure from the state of Maryland as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Minimum of 1-year clinical respiratory experience.
• Current CPR training with recertification every two years.
• Ability to communicate in English and meet psychosocial needs of residents.

Responsibilities

• Accept and transcribe verbal and telephone orders from physician on respiratory therapy procedures.
• Initiate, monitor, manage, troubleshoot, and wean residents from mechanical ventilators.
• Perform chest physiotherapy and pulmonary function testing.
• Aerosolized medication administration and nebulizer management.
• Document ventilator settings, resident responses, and progress notes.
• Provide education and in-service training to residents, families, and staff.
• Present shift reports and communicate with care team clearly.
• Ensure safe operation of equipment and report malfunctions.
