Methodist Hospital Texsan in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) to assess and treat patients with pulmonary disorders. You will administer respiratory care modalities, monitor responses, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to optimize patient outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy program, current Texas license, and NBRC credential (RRT or CRT before 2002).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• 1-year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred.
• Must possess a current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• NBRC credential as RRT or grandfathered CRT before 2002.
• BLS required at hire; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS and/or NRP within 90 days if required by department.

Responsabilités

• Operate and set up devices such as mechanical ventilators and other respiratory care modalities.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR assistance.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases and interpret results.
• Follow physician orders for treatment type, mode and duration.
• Monitor patient response via vital signs, ABG, pulse oximetry, ETCO2.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and health care professionals to manage care.

Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (Texas)

RRT or CRT NBRC credential (before 2002)
