Job summary

Methodist Hospital Northeast in Texas seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) to assess, treat and monitor patients with pulmonary disorders. You will manage respiratory devices, monitor responses, and work with physicians and nurses to adjust therapy as needed.

Requirements include a degree from an approved Respiratory Therapy Program, Texas licensure, NBRC credentials (RRT or grandfathered CRT), and BLS/ACLS within designated timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up respiratory devices (ventilators, gas administration, aerosol generators) per treatment parameters.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR assistance.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases and interpret results for corrective interventions.
• Follow physician orders and evaluate therapy type, mode and duration.
• Monitor patient response via vital signs, ABG analysis, auscultation, SpO2 and capnography.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and health care team to manage the plan of care.
