Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner III at St. Rita's Medical Center to deliver complex respiratory care, lead a shift, and mentor staff. Responsibilities include ventilator management, airway support, and patient education, under physician orders.

Requires Bachelor’s in Respiratory Therapy, NBRC credential, state license, and BLS/ACLS/PALS. Two years’ experience preferred; EPIC EHR experience a plus. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field.
• NBRC credentialed; active license in state of practice.
• BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications required or demonstrated.
• Two years of experience in respiratory care settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care through assessment, planning, intervention, education and evaluation.
• Serve as shift Charge Therapist to ensure adequate staffing and coverage.
• Mentor staff and students; participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist with invasive procedures and emergency interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home care when applicable.
