Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner I at St. Rita's Medical Center to deliver comprehensive respiratory care. The role includes patient assessment, therapy administration, education, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes.

You will work under supervision to set up oxygen therapy, manage ventilator support, monitor patient responses, and participate in staff education and quality initiatives. A valid state license, NBRC credential, and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree related to Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state they are working (required).
• NBRC credentialed (required).
• RRT (preferred).
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS preferred.
• Valid Driver's License (required for Home Care/DME).

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care per physician orders including oxygen and aerosolized medication delivery.
• Monitor patient's response and adjust therapy as needed.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment.
• Assist with bronchoscopy and tracheostomy as needed.
