Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Charles Hospital to provide comprehensive respiratory care, assessments, and education. The role includes ventilator care, bronchoscopy assistance, airway management, and staff supervision as needed.

The position requires a current state license, NBRC credentials, and BLS/ACLS/PALS; two years of experience and EPIC EHR training are preferred. Mercy Health offers competitive pay and robust benefits.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state
• NBRC credentialed is required
• ACLS/BLS certifications are required

Responsibilities

• Serve as shift Charge Therapist to ensure staffing coverage
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care as needed
• Perform CPR per AHA ACLS protocol and monitor patient responses
• Provide ventilator care, airway management, and diagnostic testing per physician orders
• Instruct patients and families on therapy and device use
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies
• Respond to cardiopulmonary emergencies as needed
