Job summary

Mercy Health seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Charles Hospital to deliver comprehensive RT services, including assessment, intervention, education, and evaluation.

The role involves monitoring therapies, managing ventilators, performing diagnostics, and educating patients and staff; acts as a preceptor to new team members. Licensure and NBRC credentials required; BLS and ACLS expected.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional (required)
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state
• NBRC credentialed (required)
• BLS Basic Life Support - AHA (required)
• ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - AHA/Red Cross (required)
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA (required)
• RRT preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist with staffing and shift coverage as Charge Therapist.
• Perform ventilator care and bronchial hygiene therapies.
• Provide oxygen therapy, pulmonary function testing, and related procedures.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals and home care when appropriate.
