Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner II at St. Charles Hospital to deliver comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator support and patient education.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate therapies while coordinating shift staffing and precepting new staff. The role requires a Bachelor's degree related to respiratory care, NBRC credentials, and current state licensure, with at least two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor’s Degree related to Respiratory Therapy or healthcare administration.
• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Current Respiratory Care license in state of employment; NBRC credentialed.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care including oxygen, aerosols, ventilator care, and education.
• Assist with procedures and staffing to ensure adequate coverage.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies per physician orders.
• Educate patients and families on therapies and devices.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment and supplies.
