Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in all areas of respiratory therapy according to physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.

The role includes performing duties as assigned with a focus on patient safety, quality care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS required for ER personnel.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
