Job summary

Mercy Health, St. Rita's Medical Center, seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner II to provide comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for diverse patients.

The role covers ventilator care, airway management, PFTs and patient education, with responsibilities as Charge Therapist, staff precepting, and ensuring safe, evidence-based care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Respiratory Care Professional.
• Current Respiratory Care License in the state.
• NBRC credentialed.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Valid driver’s license for Home Care/DME.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• May serve as the shift Charge Therapist and ensure adequate staffing.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.
• Perform CPR in accordance with ACLS.
• Provide respiratory care including ventilator support and airway management.
• Conduct pulmonary function tests (PFT).
• Educate patients and families on therapies.
• Maintain respiratory therapy equipment and supplies.
• Document care and adhere to safety standards.
