Methodist Hospital Northeast in Texas seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to assess, treat and care for patients with pulmonary disorders. You will manage devices including ventilators, administer therapies, and collaborate with the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

The role requires graduation from an approved Respiratory Therapy Program, Texas license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, and BLS; ACLS within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
• 1 year of experience preferred.
• Current Texas license as Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• NBRC credential: RRT or grandfathered CRT before July 1, 2002.
• BLS required; ACLS within 90 days of employment.
• PALS and/or NRP within 90 days if department requires.

Responsabilités

• Operate and set up ventilators and respiratory devices per treatment parameters.
• Provide emergency care including artificial ventilation and CPR.
• Collect and analyze arterial blood gases; interpret values.
• Follow physician orders and evaluate therapy requirements (type, mode, duration).
• Monitor patient response via vital signs, ABG, oximetry, and ETCO2.
• Collaborate with physicians and nurses to adjust the plan of care.
