Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Respiratory Therapist professional for night shift in Riverview, FL. The role emphasizes efficient resource planning, strong communication with leadership, and cross-team collaboration to ensure quality patient care.

The position requires an Associate’s in respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary science, with 3+ years of critical care experience and RRT certification. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Night shift availability is indicated, with full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Knowledge and proper implementation of applicable regulatory and professional standards.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including documentation in the patient care record (EMR).
• Ability to handle multiple projects and initiatives and make decisions under stress.
• Ability to maintain good working relationships and collaborate with other departments to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Develop and implement educational processes for all team members; capable of acting as manager in the absence of the manager.

Responsibilities

• Review scheduling and staffing needs to ensure efficient use of resources and labor.
• Serve as liaison between staff and department leadership; communicate important issues promptly.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and communicate with other healthcare team members.
• Demonstrate leadership, communication, initiative, and professional growth; maintain poise and self-control.
• Assist with clinical duties when needed and maintain required clinical competencies.
