Job summary

AdventHealth in Florida is hiring a Respiratory Therapist with critical care experience to provide airway management, ventilator care, and inhaled therapies within a multidisciplinary team.

The role requires credentials and an Associate's degree (Bachelor's preferred). You will deliver respiratory care across pediatric to geriatric populations and participate in emergencies and care planning.

Qualifications

• Critical thinking and patient assessment skills (Required).
• Infection control (Required).
• Oral and written communication skills and EMR documentation (Required).
• Airway management including endotracheal intubation (Required).
• Ventilation management including invasive/non-invasive and HFOV (Required).
• ABG puncture and arterial cannulation skills (Required).
• Pediatric, adult, and geriatric care knowledge (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform airway maintenance and procedures per facility needs.
• Deliver inhaled medications and respiratory therapies.
• Respond to Code Blue emergencies with CPR.
• Develop care plans with multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor diagnostic data and interpret lab results.
• Operate and manage mechanical ventilation.
