AdventHealth in Lake Wales, Florida, seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to support critical care and invasive/non-invasive ventilation. You will work nights and be part of a mission-driven team delivering comprehensive respiratory care to diverse patients.

The ideal candidate has an RRT, NBRC credentials, and 1+ year of critical care experience, with strong communication and documentation skills within EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor’s preferred.
• State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) and NBRC credentials required.
• 1+ year of critical care experience required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong documentation and EMR proficiency; adherence to infection control.

Responsibilities

• Maintain airway management and ventilation as per patient needs.
• Deliver inhaled meds, bronchial hygiene therapy, and lung expansion therapy.
• Document procedures and charges accurately in the record.
• Respond to Code Blue with CPR per AHA guidelines.
• Assess patient status and plan care with the care team.
• Monitor labs and diagnostic data; communicate findings clearly.
• Complete orientation, critical care and safety training; follow policies.
• Provide respiratory care for invasive and non-invasive ventilation; monitor transport.
• Perform hemodynamic procedures as required by facility.
• Other duties as assigned.
