Job summary

HDR is seeking a strategic, data-focused leader to shape how data is defined, used, and reused across the Resources Business Group. This role emphasizes data governance, collaboration across practices, and enabling better decision-making through standardized data definitions.

The position reports to the Resources Business Group Technology Director and partners with HDR Data Operations and senior leadership. HDR offers an employee-owned culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent related experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience in development and management of diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers.
• Committed to quality, improvement, and HDR values.
• Active participation in HDR’s employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Work as the RBG data point of contact and leverage SME expertise from our Business Classes and Practices.
• Develop and maintain data glossaries for key engineering and technical terms with business context.
• Use your network to build alignment around data processes, priority, and use expectations.
• Promote consistent, responsible use of technical data, including access, data quality, and format best practices.
• Support governance of externally sourced datasets (access, approvals, inventory, storage, lifecycle).
• Lead a RBG SME network to align practices and share lessons learned.
• Promote data fluency across the RBG.
• Communicate and collaborate with BG Data Stewards and Enterprise Data teams.
